My name is Byron M. Rosero Jr. I was born in Quito, Ecuador. My family moved to the states when I was five years old due to health problems that began for me at age 4. In the U.S., I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Throughout the years, thanks to my family, friends, doctors, and faith, I have been able to fight the RA and live a life that is normal-with-limitations. These limitations, however, have not stopped me from achieving my goals. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Psychology. I have been working at an elementary school for seven years so decided to go into teaching rather than school psychology. I enjoyed the connection with my students and seeing that "A-HA" moment when they pick up a particular concept and it sticks. I went to NAU for 2 years for a Masters in Elementary Education degree, finishing all my courses with a 3.8 grade point average. However, due to health reasons once again, I was unable to graduate with 3 quarters left in my student teaching. Now, after three years of treatment and trying things to help me regain my strength, I am taking my teaching ONLINE, and HOPE to be a great online teacher, using the latest technology and many tools available to teach my students. "HOPE". Whether it is battling R.A., or teaching a child to read, it is HOPE that will always drive me to succeed. I welcome you to HOPE with me.
